The short version

  • We only collect what we need to reply and to do your project.
  • We never sell your information.
  • No marketing emails unless you've said yes.

01Who we are

This policy applies to Shawis Pty Ltd T/A Inversit Design Agency, ABN 41 157 680 236 ("Inversit", "we", "us"), and to our website inversit.com.au. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

02What we collect

  • Enquiries: your name, phone, email and message when you use our contact form, call or email us.
  • Free checklist: your name, email and (optionally) business name when you download our Business Starter Checklist.
  • Clients: business details, billing contacts, project content, and the logins we need to build and look after your website, email and domains.
  • Domain registrations: the registrant details the domain registry requires.
  • Website usage: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and how you found us. This is collected through cookies and analytics, explained below.
 We don't store your full card details. Payments in our customer portal are handled by a secure third-party payment processor.

03How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare quotes.
  • To deliver your project, hosting, email, domains and support.
  • For billing, record keeping and our legal and tax obligations.
  • To send you the checklist you asked for and, because you agreed when you downloaded it, occasional emails with tips, news and offers.
  • To understand how people use our website so we can improve it.
 We only send marketing emails to people who've agreed to receive them, for example when downloading our free checklist. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.

04Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your information. We only share it when needed to provide our services, with:
  • Service providers we use to run our business, such as hosting and server providers, Cloudflare, Google, Microsoft, domain registries and registrars, our email marketing platform (MailerLite), our payment processor and accounting software.
  • Trusted contractors in our network (for example developers or copywriters) working on your project, who are bound to keep it confidential.
  • Courts, regulators or law enforcement, where the law requires it.
 Some of these providers, such as Google, Microsoft, Cloudflare and MailerLite, may store data outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe. We use well-established providers with strong security practices.

05Cookies and analytics

  • We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to see how our site is used. This information is aggregated and doesn't identify you by name. You can opt out with Google's browser add-on.
  • Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA to stop spam. Google's privacy policy and terms apply.
  • Our site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes connection data (such as IP addresses) to keep the site fast and secure.
 You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Most of the site will still work.

06Client websites we host

When we build or host your website, it may collect information from your own customers, for example through forms. We handle that data only to provide our services to you. You're responsible for your own website's privacy policy and for how your business uses that information.

07Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. This includes secure hosting, encrypted connections, strong passwords and limited access. We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Business and tax records are kept for seven years, as the law requires. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure, but we work hard to protect yours.

08Your choices

  • Access and correction: ask us what we hold about you, and we'll correct anything that's wrong.
  • Deletion: ask us to delete your details, unless we need to keep them by law.
  • Marketing: opt out at any time.
  • Complaints: contact us first and we'll respond in writing within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page.
